    Traditional hot rodding is built around individuality, craftsmanship, and the stories behind the machines. The "Lucky 7" roadster embodies that spirit---a seven-year home-built creation inspired by the early East Coast hot rod scene and crafted with a deep appreciation for the golden era of American customs and street rods.
    The builder of this 32 Streetrod has a passion for traditional hot rods that trace back to his teenage years in Willimantic, Connecticut, during the early 1960s. Memories of local Texaco stations, diners, and the hot rods cruising the strip helped shape the vision for this roadster: a traditional Deuce that honored the past while remaining a fully functional street machine.
    Featured in Modern Rodding Magazine in July 2024, the Lucky 7 roadster began as a swap meet fiberglass body and evolved into a carefully engineered custom featuring a hand-built chassis, period-correct styling, and a unique Chrysler/Hemi powerplant with an exceptional history.
    Engine
    After previously building hot rods powered by Buick Nailhead V8 engines, the builder searched for something different for the Lucky 7. The search led to an unexpected discovery: a 1965 Stevens flat bottom drag boat powered by a 1956 Chrysler Hemi.
    After acquiring the boat, the builder discovered the Hemi had been built by legendary engine builder Joe Reath of Reath Automotive in Long Beach, California, a respected name in early drag racing and hot rod circles.
    The Hemi was run in the boat before being removed and adapted for road use in the roadster. The engine features:

    Transmission
    The Hemi is backed by a rebuilt Chevrolet TH400 automatic transmission prepared by Chris Munroe of TSR Racing.

    The roadster's foundation began with reproduction 1932 Ford rails from Brookville Roadster.
    Keith modified and boxed the front frame sections to retain a traditional appearance forward of the firewall, then fabricated the rear structure using 2x3 rectangular steel tubing.
