Concord, NC has been seeing some really cool improvements and developments to the Kia lineup in just the past year or two. The Soul EV was released, strutting its all-electric stuff to the excitement of eco-warriors everywhere. The Kia K900 was green-lighted from concept model to production model, and currently enjoys being one of the most affordable high-end luxury sedans on the market. The 2016 Kia Sorento sprung from the woodwork with a redesigned body and advanced new features.
So what happens when Kia starts to really spur ahead? Takes the best parts of all of its designs, technologies, and performance? Maybe a little something like this. Check it out.
The Kia Trail'ster, born of the new Kia Soul, boasts a 220-horsepower combined gas-electric hybrid engine (with technology taken from the Soul EV), a dynamic all-wheel-drive system (similar to the all-new Sorento's), and a few extra touches of class to make this off-road hatchback a true force of nature.
We don't have official word yet whether or not this model will be joining the new Kia lineup in production, or whether it'll ever make it to the Hendrick Kia of Concord showroom, but we can always hope. Even if the Kia Trail'ster never makes it beyond this concept, it still promises a very bright future for the brand.
